How it's made

From hoop to your ears

Roy's posts the behind-the-scenes on Instagram: hoops of tiny embroidered motifs, threads laid out by the window, every piece checked before it is packed.

Drawn and stitchedMotifs are traced on fabric and filled in by hand with satin and running stitches.
Shaped and backedEach motif is cut, backed and edged so it keeps its shape and stays light.
Finished in silverOxidised hooks, chokers and ghungroo drops complete the piece.
